The petition has been created in light of the recent controversy over the horrible officiating of the Oklahoma Sooners vs. Oregon Ducks NCAA Football game on September 16, 2006 where two bad calls were reviewed by a Pac-10 officiating crew. The calls on the field were upheld even after an instant replay review where it was made obvious that the calls were a blatant breaking of NCAA Football rules and cheated the Oklahoma Sooners out of the win. This has happened on many other occasions to other teams as well, so we are trying to get the instant replay system and officiating rules changed.
The Goal
It is important to realize that this petition is not about the OU vs. Oregon football game. This petition is meant to help get the instant replay review rules changed so that there aren't officials from the conference of either team in the contest, leaving the officiating bias free and fair.
How can I help?
The best thing you can do besides signing the petition is to help spread the word by telling everyone you know to go sign the petition. Please hurry in doing this as we want to get this petition to the NCAA as quickly as possible and have as many signatures as we can possibly get to have a greater impact.
